AQUATECH Sales Representative (3 positions available)

Central Western Ontario – Western Golden Horseshoe, Peel, Halton, Hamilton-Wentworth, Niagara, Waterloo Regions
Northern District – Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins, Sault Ste. Marie

AQUATECH is a complete service provider of specialized Pumping and Environmental Equipment for fluid handling and testing applications. While mostly known for our construction dewatering and groundwater related services, we also offer a complete line of pumping equipment including diesel, hydraulic and electric powered centrifugals, electric submersibles, light tower and diesel generators.

The Sales Representative is a member of the Pump and Power Team who will utilize technical, communication and product skills to address customer pumping and power generating requirements. The Sales Representative will increase the company’s business through the development of AQUATECH’s pumping and power systems, mainly as it relates to pumping equipment rentals in the construction, mining and industrial sectors, establishing and maintaining customer contacts. Health and Safety is a major responsibility of this position.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate, recommend and design pumping and power systems to suit the customer’s needs
• Visit, on a daily basis, existing customer sales as well as new project sites to address any pumping and power equipment requirements
• Work with Inside Sales Support & Administrator to generate sales reports, proposals and quotations
• Participate in trade/professional shows and conferences as needed
• Maintain open communications with customers for after-hours emergency responses and in accordance with AQUATECH’s Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans
• Evenings, weekends (on-call) and travel within Ontario is a component of this position

Qualifications and Required Experience

• Preferably 3 to 5 years experience in pumps, generators and pumping systems (diesel, gas and electric motors, centrifugal trash pumps, fluid dynamics, hydraulics and pneumatics) or related field
• Preferably 3 to 5 years experience in equipment purchase and rental or related field
• Very strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and negotiating skills
• Strong organizational, computer and time management skill
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds frequently and on a daily basis
• Uninhibited ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and grasp
• Sporadic exposure to outdoor weather, shop and job site conditions
• Bachelors Degree, preferably in mechanical or civil engineering, or related experience an asset
• Forklift Certification an asset
• Valid Class D Driver’s License (optional)
