AQUATECH Parts and Service Manager
AQUATECH is a complete service provider of specialized Dewatering and Pumping Equipment for all fluids handling and transfer applications. While mostly known for our construction dewatering and temporary bypass pumping related services, we also offer a complete comprehensive line of pumping equipment which includes diesel, hydraulic and electric powered centrifugals, electric submersibles, light towers and diesel generators available for rent or sale. The Parts and Service Manager is a member of the Pump and Power Team who will oversee and coordinate the supply of service and maintenance for AQUATECH’s electric and diesel powered pumping equipment as well as diesel power generating equipment and vehicle fleet at our Concord facility or at the customer’s job site. As a hands-on position, the Service Manager will also perform service and maintenance when required. The Service Manager is also responsible for managing the service department by meeting both company and departmental objectives related to budgets, health and safety and quality control as well as supervising and training the maintenance staff. Health and Safety is a major responsibility of this position
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate, oversee and perform:
- Daily handling and shipping of pumps and pumping accessories as well as generators and specialized pumping systems related to bypass, dewatering, on-site wheel wash, high pressure testing as well as filtration equipment.
- Manage shop budgets, prepare quotes, issue purchase orders and order parts.
- Manage shop staff and facility in safe, organized and efficient manner.
- Clearly document and record any and all parts needed for servicing of equipment.
- Provide leadership and direction to shop and parts personnel, coordinate and perform training as well as develop staff.
- Service and repair of AQUATECH pumping and power generating equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Regular maintenance and servicing on equipment in the rental fleet between each rental to ensure absolute product reliability.
- Inspections of fleet equipment for possible damages and report and document damages accordingly.
- Quality control and testing of all repaired equipment prior to releasing.
- Maintain AQUATECH’s fleet of gas and diesel powered vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Respond to emergency field service calls as required.
Qualifications and Required Experience
- Knowledge and experience in managing or maintaining rental equipment (asset).
- Strong understanding and knowledge of engine repair (diesel preferred).
- General knowledge of electrical wiring systems (220 and 575 volt).
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Good reading, writing, communication and mathematical skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds frequently and on a daily basis.
- Uninhibited ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and grasp.
- Valid Class A or D Driver’s License in good standing.
- Forklift Certification preferred.
