AQUATECH Assistant Pump and Service Mechanic
AQUATECH is a complete service provider of specialized Dewatering and Pumping Equipment for all fluids handling and transfer applications. While mostly known for our construction dewatering and temporary bypass pumping related services, we also offer a complete comprehensive line of pumping equipment which includes diesel, hydraulic and electric powered centrifugals, electric submersibles, light towers and diesel generators available for rent or sale. The Assistant Pump and Service Mechanic will service and maintain AQUATECH’s electric and diesel powered pumping equipment as well as diesel power generating equipment in our shop. Health and Safety is a major responsibility of this position.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the service and repair AQUATECH pumping and power generating equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Daily handling of pumps and pumping accessories.
- Perform regular maintenance and servicing on equipment to ensure product reliability.
- Perform inspections of fleet equipment for possible damages and report and document damages accordingly.
- Test all repaired equipment prior to releasing.
- Maintain AQUATECH’s fleet of gas and diesel powered vehicles.
- Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment.
Qualifications and Required Experience
- Knowledge of engine repair; diesel preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring systems (12/24vdc, 220vac and 575vac single/three phase).
- Solid troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Basic reading and mathematical skills.
- Legible handwriting.
- Knowledge of sales and rental services an asset.
- Ability to clearly communicate.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds frequently and on a daily basis.
- Uninhibited ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and grasp.
- Valid Class G or D Driver’s License in good standing.
- Must have own vehicle.
- Forklift Certification preferred.
