AQUATECH Sales Manager
AQUATECH is a complete service provider of specialized Dewatering and Pumping Equipment for all fluids handling and transfer applications. While mostly known for our construction dewatering and temporary bypass pumping related services, we also offer a complete comprehensive line of pumping equipment which includes diesel, hydraulic and electric powered centrifugals, electric submersibles, light towers and diesel generators available for rent or sale. AQUATECH also offers specialized services related to discharge filtration equipment and on site wheel wash systems making us one of the most comprehensive suppliers of services to the construction, municipal, industrial and mining sectors of the industry.

The Sales Manager is a member of the Pump and Power Team utilizing technical, communication and organizational skills to manage both inside and outside sales activities of the Concord Branch and marketplace. The Sales Manager will promote the overall growth and profitability of AQUATECH’s dewatering, pumping and environmental equipment fleet. The Sales Manager will develop and lead AQUATECH’s sales force to reach its full potential, achieving and exceeding sales targets. The Sales Manager will be involved in AQUATECH’s Emergency Response and Preparedness Plan, including coordination of staff, equipment and outside vendors. Health & Safety and Environmental Awareness are essential responsibilities of this position.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of technical sales representatives - keep team motivated, focused, organized and disciplined.
- Ensure individual sales representatives create and submit reports for review according to submissions schedule.
- Take a hands-on approach by facilitating introductions of sales team to established industry contacts.
- Source new opportunities/clients, assign leads and follow up with staff to ensure clients needs are being met.
- Responsible for the combined performance of the sales team and ensure everyone within the team reaches their targets – monitor sales teams performance.
- Oversee inside sales administrators to ensure proper procedures are carried out as it relates to invoicing, work orders, tracking of inventory and general inside sales administrative support function.
- Direct contact with customers along with key responsibilities in the Accounts Receivable process.
- Keep abreast of the competitive market and market trends while developing effective market strategies.
- Maintain a vast knowledge of pumps and pumping systems.
- Set sales budgets and allocate specific representatives to specific market segments or geographic areas.
Qualifications and Required Experience
- 5 – 7 years experience managing and motivating sales representatives to enhance team and individual sales performance to meet sales targets.
- Experience in the municipal, construction and industrial sectors as it relates to pumps and pumping systems.
- 3 – 5 years experience in pumps, generators and pumping systems (diesel, hydraulic and electric motors, centrifugal trash pumps, fluid dynamics, hydraulics and pneumatics) or related field.
- 5 – 7 years experience in equipment purchase and rental or related field.
- Strong oral and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, customer service, negotiating, organizational, computer and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds frequently and on a daily basis.
- Uninhibited ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and grasp.
- Sporadic exposure to outdoor weather, shop and job site conditions.
- Bachelors Degree, preferably in mechanical or civil engineering, earth sciences or related experience an asset.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License.
- Forklift Certification an asset.
- Valid Class D Driver’s License an asset.
